2. Finding employment opportunities for those who've lost jobs
In Dubai, an international recruitment company, Marc Ellis has offered to assist people finding jobs by referring them to potential employers across different sectors. For anyone whose job has been affected, you can reach out to the company.
Aws Ismail, general manager of Marc Ellis told Gulf News, “The idea came from wanting to support the community during these tough times. We started to receive some applications from people saying they are available immediately due to being made redundant because of the virus affecting businesses. We thought that there must be many people like this who do not know what to do, who to reach out to and where to go, so we wanted to show a sign to anyone who may be struggling that there is light at the end of the tunnel. The aim of our service is to keep people’s morale high whilst doing our best to try and get them back into employment, or at least ready for employment,” said Ismail.
3. Free marketing for local businesses
Virgin Radio Presenter Kris Fade offered to promote local business on his Instagram account free of charge. Business owners just had to send a brief description of what their business is about.
He wrote on the caption, ''I'm using my platform to promote local companies for FREE. They need us! Tag companies that need to see this plus if you want to be on my next round of shout outs send a maximum 30 second, self spoken video, promoting your service.''
